Silent Hill: Ascension has been coming along, initially announced as a choose-your-own-adventure-based mini-series. The title is believed to feature daily live story scenes that would change based on the audience’s gameplay decisions.
On Google Play Store, Developers Genvid Entertainment updates the storefront for Silent Hill: Ascension which now says that the interactive streaming series will premiere on October 31st at 6 pm PDT.

The title is open for pre-registration currently. While the title has been shrouded by much mystery, with the developers responding that more information will be released soon, some speculations have gone around the internet since its announcement in 2022.
Currently, it is believed that Silent Hill: Ascension will feature a narrative story featuring different characters all around the world. The collective audience will determine the fates of the characters. It must be remembered that Silent Hill: Ascension is not a game but an interactive streaming series.
The idea is pretty revolutionary, something that has not been seen before. Each day, the story will change based on the audience’s actions.

It was clarified by Genvid CEO Jacob Navok that those who are not able to participate will be able to play the previous chapters on demand.
In the interview with Polygon, he revealed that despite comparisons to popular TV series like Black Mirror and Bandersnatch, Silent Hill: Ascension will be “crowd-control decision making.”
The changes will not be temporary. In other words, as confirmed by the listing on Play Store, the audience’s choices could impact what is canon in Silent Hill.
Jacob Navok also confirmed that even if many players cannot make it to the livestream, a sizeable chunk of the decisions are made in advance. However, those who will be present for the live stream will be able to see the outcome of their choices in real-time.
The livestream will be hosted on the Ascension.com website. However, they will also have apps and console builds in due time, clarifying that “it will be accessible anywhere that Netflix gets access.”
A new idea like this will revolutionize the gaming market. The wait is not long until we get to lay our hands on the title and see what monsters Genvid has created in Silent Hill: Ascension.
