Call of Duty MW II and Warzone’s Souls cap increased, making it easier

Halloween is right around the corner. Call of Duty fans are having the time of their lives with Modern Warfare II and Warzone featuring the special “The Haunting” event.

Developers have released an official tweet saying that the new update released on October 24th increases the drop rate and the match cap of Souls for the remainder of the Soul Capture event in Call of Duty Modern Warfare II and Warzone 2.0.

The Haunting began a week ago, on October 17th. This was accompanied by the release of the mid-season update for Season 6 of Modern Warfare II and Warzone 2.0.

The Haunting Features many game modes in both titles. The best part is that all these rewards will be carried forward to the upcoming CoD: Modern Warfare III.

As a part of The Haunting, players could collect souls from enemy players after a kill. These souls are redeemable from the Soul Capture event shop and can be redeemed for weapon camos, stickers, double weapon XP tokens, and charms.

However, players faced difficulty as Souls’ drop rate and match cap were limited. This criticism led to Activision taking prompt action, meaning players can move through the Souls more rapidly for the remainder of the Season.

Players have said that the soul match cap has been increased to 18 in MWII, 25 in Warzone’s DMZ and Resurgence modes, and 30 in standard battle royale matches. The limited methods also have an increased soul cap of 25 per match.

This update has mixed reactions from the fans and the community. This is because many souls are required for the most prized rewards, such as the Ghoulie camo, which costs 1000 souls.

Some players claim this is unachievable because quite some precious time has been wasted with the Souls cap on. The haunting ends November 6th, so players need to get a move on ahead of MW III’s launch on November 10th.

Being just four days after The Haunting, players will smoothly transition from MWII and Warzone to Modern Warfare III, featuring a complete carry-over from the previous two titles.
