Call of Duty Modern Warfare III Early Access Plagued by Service Outage

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III has been one of the most hotly anticipated titles in 2023. The buildup to the release was packed with many trailers and pre-order bonuses announced by developers of Activision and Sledgehammer games.

The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III’s early access period kicked off on November 3rd. However, players noted they could not log in and access the campaign mode. Players were also losing progress after leaving and returning to the Modern Warfare III campaign mode.

These problems were faced by players who coughed up a hefty amount of USD 100 for the Vault Edition. The Vault Edition is heftily priced because it offers a lot of additional content like the Soul Harvester Tracer Weapon Blueprint, 2 Weapon Vaults, and access to BlackCell’s First Season and 30 Additional Tier Skips.

However, these bonuses are useless if the player cannot access the game. And this is precisely what is happening.

Although the developers quickly released a patch to fix the log-in issue, things are going from bad to worse. Some players have also reported that the Modern Warfare II and Warzone Battle Pass progress, weapon progress, and Operators, including CoD points, have been reset.

This is in stark contrast to what the developers had promised ahead of the release, saying that it would be a seamless transition from MW II and Warzone 2.0 to Modern Warfare III, along with a complete carry-over of items.

This was also addressed by the developers soon after, who cited a service outage as the reason for the loss in the Campaign Completion process. This was observed for all the active titles and has now been fixed, as per the devs.

Gaming Fans are known to be unforgiving. However, the voice is loud and clear – players understand that such issues can arise on launch day but want the skins/stats/ranks back before the complete launch on November 10th.
