New Elden Ring Survey Asks Players for Favorite Weapons, Bosses & More

Elden Ring has already made a place for itself in this year’s top list, even though it only came out a few months ago. 

Its gameplay delivers a gripping narrative for the players. One can expect action-packed combat in a setting reminiscent of Skyrim. 

Popular Japanese magazine Famitsu specializing in video games, surveyed 1700 enthusiastic players of different age groups about Elden Ring from 9th-13th April 2022. Their opinions about the game, from enemies to weapons to favorite settings, were asked. The results were, well, expected to say the least. 

• The Katanas ranked first as the most popular choice for weapons.  

• Bloodhound Step and Transient Moonlight were players’ favorite skills. 

• Most popular spell was the Comet Azur. 

• Most popular summon was the Mimic Tear Ashes. 

• Enemies that left the strongest impressions were Starscourge Radahn and Malenia, only separated by 29 points.  

• NPC that left the strongest impression was Ranni The Witch. 

• Area that left the strongest impression was Caelid. 

• Most chosen First Class was Vagabond. 

• Most popular stat was Vigor. 

The best aspects of the game were the storyline, fantasy world surrounding, open area environment and the freedom to explore.  

The players also voted on their favorite online features– the messages, co-op setting, bloodstains, illusions and intrusion multiplayer, in order.  

As the game ages, these choices might not stay the same for the majority of its players. New users will add new inputs, and who knows how the game will take shape then? For now, Elden Ring is still an impactful and engrossing game you can turn to!

Elden Ring is the next major title to be released by FromSoftware, the developers of Demon’s Souls, Bloodborne and the Dark Souls franchise. Elden Ring is set to release on the February 25th, 2022.
