Find Out How The GTX 1630 Is Looking – Specs and More Revealed!

NVIDIA is set to launch the GTX 1630 GPU, the latest budget-friendly 16-series graphics card, since its release in 2019. As expected, a few rumored specs have been doing the rounds on the internet ahead of its debut.

The GTX 1630 will be based on Turing microarchitecture and have a 12nm TU117-150 die. It will have 512 CUDA FP32 Cores and a 64-bit memory bus. These specs are half of what the full GPU is capable of.

It will also have a higher clock speed, up to ~1800 MHz. Hence, the TDP is reduced to 75W, similar to the GTX1650.

The graphics card will feature a 4 GB GDDR6 SDRAM, with a memory speed of 12 Gbps, indicating the maximum bandwidth to be 96 Gb/s.

Some say it will be the improvised version of the GTX 1650, launched way back in 2019 with a few tweaks here and there. Users can expect fewer cores and lesser memory bus width and bandwidth.

Here’s a side-by-side comparison of the supposed GTX 1630 with the GTX 1650

According to multiple sources, NVIDIA has decided on the launch date– 31st May. An official announcement will soon follow if all goes as planned.

The price range for the GTX 1630 might be ~ $190, the current price of the GTX 1650. NVIDIA has delivered top-notch GPUs for tech-savvy gamers, coming ahead of AMD and Intel. It has since neglected the low-end market. The GTX 1630, while being cheaper than the NVIDIA GPU family, still comes at a reasonable rate for what it offers.

The NVIDIA GTX 1630 will be going head-on against AMD’s newly released RX 6400, the upcoming Radeon RX 6500 XT, and Intel’s Arc Range flagship GPU. Of course, the RTX 4000 series is also coming soon, so it looks like a busy quarter for NVIDIA overall.
