Rumors Suggest NVIDIA RTX 4090 to Launch First Followed by Others

NVIDIA’s next-gen RTX 40 series, based on Ada Lovelace architecture, is the next high-end graphics card designed for intense gaming. The cards will be the successor to NVIDIA’s popular ‘Ampere’ series. Set for a mid-July release, very little has been disclosed about the Lovelace chipsets.

Twitter user @Kopite7kimi has confirmed the supposed launch strategy for NVIDIA’s RTX 40 series.

Rumors suggest NVIDIA will roll out the flagship RTX 4090 first; the other variants, RTX 4080 and RTX 4070 will follow soon.

The RTX 40 series will likely be officially announced around mid-July. The announcement will further reveal specific launch dates for each processor model.

Since NVIDIA usually announces upcoming graphics cards two weeks before their launch date, the actual release might take place in August.

Fans can see that it is a different story with the RTX 40 series.

The RTX 30 series chips were all announced on the same day, but their respective releases were on different dates.

Nvidia RTX 3080

Two weeks after their announcement, the RTX 3080 was launched first, and after another two weeks gap, the RTX 3090 was also released.

However, NVIDIA took their own sweet time of about two months to release the final RTX 3070 model.

The RTX 40 series chipsets will be used in different GPUs. According to some leaks, the RTX 4090, RTX 4080, and RTX 4070 will be paired with the AD102, AD103, and AD104, respectively.

NVIDIA is focusing on the AD102 and AD104 models, both entering the testing stage soon. No reports about the AD103 have surfaced yet.

NVIDIA has been wholeheartedly devoted to pushing the GeForce RTX 30 series graphics cards with several marketing campaigns and ventures. It is safe to say the company is preparing to clear as many RTX 30 chipset units before the RTX 40 series launch.
