Intel’s Arc A380 is the first model released from the Arc-A series 3 lineup of graphics cards. The card supports next-gen technologies like accelerated ray tracing, Direct 12X, Intel XMX, and more for mainstream gamers.
GUNNIR has unveiled the A380 Photon GPU, the first custom variant of Arc A380 based on Intel’s Xe-HPG architecture.
The A380 Photon 6G OC is a factory model made for overclocking with a dual-fan cooling system, starting at $150. However, it is only available in China at present.
It consists of a dual-slot layout with a single 8-pin connector for booting. A heat sink made of aluminum is placed atop the ACM-G11 GPU. The graphics card has three 2GB GDDR6 memory sticks, each clocking up to 15.5 Gbps.
The custom model’s maximum clock speed and TBP are 2450 MHz and 92W, respectively. Given that it is an OC card, we can expect higher clocks.
There are four display connectors– three DisplayPort and one HDMI 2.0.
The A380 Photon GPU has updated features like XeSS image scaling, Deep Link, Stream Assist, and more.
Here is an overview of the specs:
Core | Intel A380 |
Core Count | 8 |
Maximum Frequency | 2450 MHz |
Memory Type | GDDR6 |
Memory Capacity | 6 GB |
Memory Bandwidth | 186 GB/S |
Memory Frequency | 15.5 Gbps |
Power Interface | 8 Pin |

The reference model, i.e., the Arc A380, has a single-fan design with a base clock of 2000 MHz and TBP of 75W. However, the model is slightly faster with 16 Gbps bandwidth than its custom counterpart.
The Arc A380 Photon OC processor is a completely redesigned, unique product. Users can expect new heights for creativity and gaming performance. GUNNIR has also hinted at a custom Arc A770 graphics card featuring a triple-fan cooling system.
