After the successful launch of the Arc A380, Intel made the headlines as a new model from the Arc Alchemist range found its way online.
Certification for the Arc A40 Pro appeared on the South Korean National Radio Research Agency (RRA) official site.
The A40 Pro seems like an entry-level model. It is the first-ever mention of a workstation desktop GPU from the Arc Alchemist range.
Intel has not officially announced this GPU or other workstation A4 GPUs yet.
There have been listings of the A40M Pro on manufacturer websites. But it is a mobile GPU, so there might be minimal similarity in their specs. The A40M is equivalent to NVIDIA’s RTX A1000 GPU.
Intel has released every Arc product at the very end of its scheduled period. For example, Intel released the A350M for the mobile range at the end of Q1. Similarly, the A380 desktop GPU also launched at the end of Q2, i.e., just last week.
Intel plans to launch the workstation GPUs in Q3, so we expect the A40 Pro to be released in late September.
