God of War Ragnarok Releasing on November 9; Pre-Orders from July 15

God of War Ragnarok is the follow-up of the 2018 hit action-adventure game God of War which left fans yearning to complete the Norse storyline. The trailer for the game had more views than all the others showcased at the State of Play event. After what seemed like an eternity, Sony gave Ragnarok fans the ultimate surprise.  

God of War Ragnarok is officially set for release on November 9, 2022, for Playstation 4 and 5.  

The entire community was shaken up after this unexpected announcement. Sony also released the God of War Ragnarok – Father and Son CG Trailer, which gave us a glimpse of Kratos and Atreus in action.

The game was delayed after Christopher Judge, the voice of Kratos, was unavailable due to medical reasons. Even Sony started the project a little later than planned. Herman Hurst, Sony’s head of worldwide studios, explained, 

..the project started a little later. So we’ve made the decision to push that game out to next year, to ensure that Santa Monica Studio can deliver the amazing God of War game that we all want to play.

God of War Ragnarok will be available for pre-order from July 15. Several versions of the game will be released, including a special Collector’s Edition, which contains a 16″ Mjölnir Replica and 2″ Vanir Twins Carvings.

God of War Ragnarok is an action-adventure game developed by Santa Monica Studio and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. It was released on November 9, 2022, for PS4 and PS5.

Ragnarok is the ninth installment in the God of War series, chronologically, and the sequel to 2018’s God of War. Loosely based on Norse mythology, the game is set in ancient Norway and features series protagonists Kratos and his young son Atreus. The events of the game are expected to initiate Ragnarok – a series of events that, according to Norse lore, bring about the end of days and the death of the Norse gods.
