God of War: Ragnarok Will Take You to All Nine Norse Realms, Says Sony

We have had only two full-length trailers for God of War: Ragnarok. From character previews to brief videos, these bits only gave very little about the game. With the release only a few months away, Sony is determined to build up the hype. Fans were given the first direct story writing for the anticipated sequel.

Sony dropped major hints for the plot of God of War: Ragnarok with a new story description.

God of War Ragnarok

The game description reads,

“Fimbulwinter is well underway. Kratos and Atreus must journey to each of the Nine Realms in search of answers as Asgardian forces prepare for a prophesied battle that will end the world. Along the way they will explore stunning, mythical landscapes, and face fearsome enemies in the form of Norse gods and monsters. The threat of Ragnarok grows ever closer. Kratos and Atreus must choose between their own safety and the safety of the realms.”

Game Description

This synopsis confirms that the protagonist duo will be traveling to all nine realms throughout the game. The brief also mentions a few unknown details, such as the Asgardian forces. Fans are guessing we will be seeing a face-off between Kratos and Odin.

The summary gives us a brief timeline of important events, from the Norse saga Fimbulwinter to the legendary final battle.
