Total War: Warhammer 3 was released on February 17, 2022. The strategy video game was developed by Creative Assembly and published by Sega. It is the fifteenth installment in the Total War franchise, concluding the Total War: Warhammer trilogy.
Fans initially complained of bugs and glitches in the game, which led to the developers’ delayed bonus content. An update on extra features was long overdue.
Creative Assembly announced the first faction of Total War: Warhammer 3 in the Champions of Chaos DLC.
The first faction was first revealed in a leaked video, after which the developers team took to Twitter to announce it officially.
The game will consist of four factions, each for the four Chaos Gods– Khorne, Tzeentch, Nurgle, Slaanesh, and the Kislev and Grand Cathay civilizations. The Ogre Kingdoms were a part of special pre-order editions.
The new trailer introduces the first Legendary Lord, Azazel, Prince of Damnation, who will lead the Ecstation Legion.
There have been several mentions of Azazel in the Warhammer mythology. He is the daemon prince of the Chaos God Slaanesh, who turned his back on humanity after the Empire was founded.
The Champions of Chaos DLC will also establish significant changes to the game. A new campaign and additional units are being explicitly added for every Chaos God; the Warriors of the Chaos faction will also be getting a revamp.
The Champions of Chaos DLC will be available alongside the Immortal Empires campaign on August 23, 2022. Total War: Warhammer 3 is currently available on Mac, Linux, and Windows.
