Intel’s i9-13900K Boosts up to 5.8 GHz in Geekbench 5 Benchmark

Intel’s Raptor Lake series will introduce three K-series SKUs– 13900K, 13700K, and 13600K. These will compete with AMD’s Ryzen 7000 series, which are launching a month sooner, on September 15th.  

Intel’s next-gen Core i9-13900K “Raptor Lake” CPU was tested with the Geekbench 5 benchmark with a faster 5.8 GHz clock.  

The CPU reported a maximum clock speed of 5.52 GHz, but the actual speed went up a lot higher during the testing.

According to the detailed score data, the processor boosted up to 5.79 GHz. Whether the higher clock speed is due to manual overclocking or the CPU was tested without power limits has not been confirmed. 

The motherboard used for the test was the ASRock Z690 Taichi which supports DDR5 memory.  

The i9-13900K scored 2314 points in single-core and 26464 points in multi-core Geekbench 5 tests.

The current-gen 12900K CPU scored 1988 and 17288 points in single-core and multi-core tests. That’s a 16% and 53% increase in performance, respectively.

Intel’s Raptor Lake series will be announced on September 28th at the Innovation event. Rumors suggest the CPUs will be launched on October 17th.
