NVIDIA RTX 4080 Updated Specs Reveal Faster Memory & Reduced TBP

NVIDIA is preparing its next-gen RTX 40 GPU series with pre-launch specs changes, pricing evaluations, and performance. Various new specs are being reported for the upcoming Lovelace series every other day.

Twitter user @kopite7kimi has released the updated memory speed, bandwidth, and board power for NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080.

The leak claims RTX 4080 might support a faster 23 Gbps GDDR6X memory than the previously reported 21 Gbps. The Total Board Power(TBP) has also changed from 420W to 340W.

The rest of the specs remain unchanged. The RTX 4090 is also expected to feature a similar memory speed. The 4090 SKU will feature up to 16384 CUDA Cores, based on the AD102 GPU. The graphics card will be 82% faster than its predecessor RTX 3090, according to the TimeSpy Extreme score.

NVIDIA is rumored to launch the RTX 4090 first, followed by other models. No official dates have been announced yet.

NVIDIA’s production cycle might seem confusing, but the company is known to switch up these specs pretty often. Not all leaked cards make it to the final launch, with some being postponed or canceled.
