Activision Blizzard has been hesitant in revealing information such as key features and main content for the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. We still don’t know the specifics such as weapon selection, campaign details, and other assorted elements.
Twitter user @3rbbcod leaked gameplay footage of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, consisting of three different sections of the game, including a highway segment , where the player battles against enemies in moving vehicles, jumps from one to another, and even gets to drive it.
The other two sections feature a short showcase of a returning weapon, a variant of the legendary automatic H&K MP7 PDW, and a diving bit, where the player silently throws knives to dispatch enemies on a desolate pier.
The leaked footage does not raise expectations in any manner, but rather gives an experience of the vast variety in the game, carrying out stealthy sniper missions in divergent areas, from stretched-out deserts to deep waterways, along with the classic oil rig assault sequence.
It has not been confirmed how long the Modern Warfare 2 campaign will last. Pre-order owners will get access to the campaign mode a week before the official full game launch. Multiplayer mode comes into the picture much later, with the solo campaign being the highlight for the moment.
A moment-to-moment gameplay difference with Modern Warfare 1 might not be as apparent, but the developers never aimed to deliver a remastered version of the 2019 game.
We can expect more gameplay details in the official multiplayer reveal for Modern Warfare 2, scheduled for mid-September. The announcement will confirm the several rumors so far, giving fans a more concrete idea of what to expect.
