Here’s a Violent Detail about Glass Shards in The Last of Us Part 1

Since The Last of Us Part 1 was released, fans have marveled at the level of detail in the PlayStation-exclusive remake. Just recently, fans noticed a Mortal Kombat poster in one of the scenes, and you can also spin a globe if you hit it.

Twitter user @Rad_Dad_Redempt discovered a violent and graphic detail in the Naughty Dog remake involving glass shards.

Apparently, if you throw a glass bottle at an enemy NPC’s head, you can notice pieces of broken glass lodged in their face. This tiny detail is one of the many improvements from the original game launched in 2013.

The Last of Us is a hugely successful game, having sold over 20 million copies as of 2019. Naughty Dog revealed a remaster titled The Last of Us Part 1 that was indeed in development in the spring of 2021. The remastered game received a Metacritic score of 89, whereas the original title was given a 95 score.

Last of Us Remake

There is a noticeable difference in side-by-side comparisons of the remaster and the original game. The major improvements in the remake are mostly graphics, framerate, enemy AI core, audio, and gameplay. Character designs are more detailed, especially Joel and Tess, who have been given a much more realistic, older, and worn-out look. It is evident that the team at Naughty Dog has worked very hard.

As more and more players are playing the game, more such impressive details and easter eggs will be discovered soon in the future.

The Last Of Us Part 1 Remake is available now for PlayStation 5.
