Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Beta Launch Achieves a Huge Milestone

The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 beta began on September 24 and ended on September 26. It gave pre-order owners early access to Modern Warfare 2. Infinity Ward also tested out cross-play matchmaking between PC, PlayStation, and Xbox players.

After the end of a successful run, the Call of Duty team thanked its fans for making Modern Warfare 2 beta one of the biggest releases in series history. 

Players received plenty of surprises in the beta version, such as special rewards and bonuses that will carry onto the final game. Apart from this massive milestone, the official blog post also revealed some exciting announcements. 

This was only a slice of all the new content coming in Modern Warfare II when it launches this fall. In the weeks ahead, players who pre-order Modern Warfare II will get up to one week of Early Campaign access* before its global launch on October 28.

There are several Beta rewards for Modern Warfare II and Warzone 2.0, beginning on October 28 and November 16, respectively. Players will be awarded for leveling up during the Open Beta. 

Modern Warfare 2 Beta Rewards

Apart from this, players who digitally pre-order Modern Warfare 2 will receive up to one week of early access to the full campaign starting from October 20. 

Players who pre-order the Vault Edition of the game will receive early access to the campaign, the Red Team 141 Operator Pack, FJX Cinder Weapon Vault, Season One Battle Pass, and 50 Tier Skips. 

Call of Duty Warzone Mobile

The CoD team also revealed that Warzone Mobile received up to 15 million pre-registrations on Google Play. Like MW2, fans who have pre-registered before the final launch will unlock Emblem: Dark Familiar, Vinyl: Foe’s Flame, X12 Prince of Hell Blueprint, and M4 – Archfiend Weapon Blueprints.

After the game crosses 25 million pre-registrations, one more secret reward will be disclosed. Call of Duty Warzone Mobile is scheduled to launch next year.
