GTA VI is being developed on a huge scale. The developer, Rockstar Games, is responsible for some of the most popular titles, namely GTA and Red Dead Redemption. Clearly, there are a lot of expectations riding on the upcoming game.
Reddit user @ChurchofGTA released an estimated map size of GTA VI, which shows the upcoming game could be twice as big as the previous installment.
The user lined up the leaked coordinates of GTA VI over the map of GTA V, which is already pretty huge, spanning over 126 square kilometers, so if the new map is 50% bigger, it will give players a vast area to explore. Rockstar Games has neither confirmed this rumor nor commented on it.
While the map is not detailed, a few specific areas, like the Port Gellhorn Racetrack and the Los Santos seashore will be shifted significantly over a wider distance.
The sixth installment is already rife with controversy. Recently, a massive GTA VI leak ensued chaos within the community as early development footage of the game was leaked all over social media platforms. A few critics claimed the game looked poorly made, to which fans of the series countered that it is still too early to judge.
GTA VI will likely be set in Vice City and feature a sibling duo as the protagonists. Not much is revealed about the game, but more leaks are expected in the future, which is normal for a game as sizable as GTA VI. Hopefully, Rockstar Games will release more updates soon.
Grand Theft Auto 6 is currently in development.
