Reddit User Posts Possible Resurgence Map from Call of Duty: Warzone 2

Call of Duty: Warzone 2 is set in the fictional capital city of the United Republic of Adal, Al-Mazrah. It is an intricate map and the largest one in Call of Duty franchise history. The sequel also consists of eight maps from previous installments in the series, which gives fans a familiar feeling reminding them of home.

Reddit user @iamDEVANS posted a picture taken from a CoD Facebook group which might be the new Resurgence map from Warzone 2.

The map features a horn-shaped island with marine landmarks such as “Shipwreck,” “Beach Club,” and “Port.” The “Castle” lies at the center of the map which will most likely be the most crowded area in the region. Resurgence will support 50 players, and can be used in other Call of Duty modes such as Ground War and DMZ.

Resurgence is one of Warzone’s most requested modes, so it is not entirely impossible for Activision to finally add it in the game. It is a mini, fast-paced battle royale mode, where players can spawn back into the game provided at least one teammate is alive.

The replies on the Reddit post are divided; some believe it to be true while others claim the map is actually that of the gulag island. A few users said the image lacked credibility, pointing out several spelling errors, and the fact that it had not been taken down yet on copyright grounds.

Warzone 2 also features a brand-new inventory system called Gunsmith 2.0, a new 2v2 gulag, and proximity chat for players. So far, the response has been overwhelming, even though the game was flooded with bugs and glitches.

It doesn’t matter whether the map posted above is accurate or not, Warzone 2 fans will be getting the highly-anticipated Resurgence mode in the near future, maybe in early 2023. Hopefully, it is as good as we think.
