Yaoyao and Alhaitham Coming to Genshin Impact in Upcoming Update 3.4

HoYoverse constantly adds new content to Genshin Impact. Their timely updates create hype around secret regions, new weapons, and several playable characters.

Genshin Impact has revealed two new characters, Yaoyao and Alhaitham, who are scheduled to arrive in Update 3.4.

Yaoyao will be a four-star character, and Alhaitham is expected to be a five-star. Both of them will be Dendro users. It is not mentioned exactly how rare these characters will be.

Yaoyao is a good healer, can deliver a great amount of damage to her foes, and her kit lets her place her accompanying character. Players are hoping Hoyoverse decides to give away Yaoyao for free as part of the upcoming Lantern Rite Festival, an annual event that gives players a free four-star character.

Yaoyao was part of the original beta test of Genshin Impact. Some players even believe her to be the first Dendro character of the game. Yaoyao was excluded from the first four Sumeru updates since she was from Liyue. 

Alhaitham is a mysterious and powerful character who plays a major role in the Sumeru arc. He is said to be the second Dendro DPS user after Tighnari, who was introduced in Update 3.0.

HoYoverse has not announced a release date for these characters, but they are expected to be on the same Limited Character Banner. Hence, Travelers can acquire both Yaoyao and Alhaitham by wishing on the same banner.
