Intel Lunar Lake will Feature Upgraded Models with Power Efficiency

Intel revealed that the Lunar Lake chip, scheduled for launch in 2024, will be optimized for mobile devices for 15W and below. These processors will feature a disaggregated design while keeping in mind their power efficiency.

Intel Lunar Lake, based on Intel 18A node, will feature Foveros packaging technology.

Intel has not disclosed a release date, but it should be available sometime in 2024, maybe just after Arrow Lake.

EVG and GM of Client Computing at Intel, Michelle Johnson Holthaus, confirmed that Lunar Lake will feature an entirely new architecture built from scratch. The series will be designed for mobile devices with a priority on power efficiency. This architecture will target the 15W power segment.

Intel Lunar Lake series will feature upgraded CPU, GPU, and VPU blocks with a lower power envelope. The SKUs will offer an all-day battery life with optimum performance.

Intel Roadmap

Lunar Lake will feature 18A node technology and an upgraded Xe2-LPG graphics architecture. This destructured and scalable architecture will give Intel the freedom to choose logical blocks for each silicon.

Intel will be revealing more details about the Lunar Lake series on January 26th, which is also Intel’s Q4 2022 financial disclosure day.
