NVIDIA RTX 4070 Ti Sales are more than RX 7000 & Arc Alchemist’s Combined

It has been a hectic week for the GPU market. A graphics card which was initially canceled then relaunched under a new name managed to peak the charts.

NVIDIA tops the weekly sales chart in Germany after selling more RTX 4070 Ti cards than AMD Radeon RX 7000 and Intel Arc Alchemist units combined.

NVIDIA RTX 4070 Ti

In the third week of January, 545 RTX 4070 Ti graphics cards were sold by German retailer Mindfactory. For comparison, both RTX 4090 and RTX 4080 sold 190 and 210 units, respectively.

The RTX 4070 Ti also ranked higher than AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX and Intel Arc A770/A380. Intel performed very poorly after managing to sell only 20 Alchemist GPUs.

Even AMD Radeon RX 7900 series lacked in sales; only 300 XTX and 200 XT cards were sold. The RX 7900 is the direct competitor of the NVIDIA RTX 4080. However, the XTX graphics card sold an additional 110 units even though there are fewer custom designs available.

AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT

The leading companies of the GPU market have performed significantly well overall. AMD sold 410 models of Radeon RX 6900 XT and the sale for NVIDIA RTX 3060 was even better with 485 units sold.

Although Intel Arc A770 is similar to the above in terms of pricing and performance, it only managed to sell 10 cards.

The RTX 4070 Ti is a stellar graphics card. Compared to the AMD Radeon RX 6950 XT, it delivers 146 FPS on average. The GPU is 11% faster than the RTX 3090 Ti and 5% slower than the RTX 4080.

These stats show how important the upper mid-range segment can be. If done right, this segment can bring in major profits. However, neither AMD nor NVIDIA have announced future plans for next-gen mid-range GPUs yet.
