Intel is Reportedly Testing Unnamed Arc GPU with 16 Xe-Cores

Intel Arc A550M features 16 Xe-Cores and is paired with the ACM-G10 GPU. There’s a rumor going around that a new high-speed card was recently discovered on a benchmark website which suggests that the card may not be a mobile variant.

Reports claim that Intel is testing an unreleased desktop model after an Arc GPU was spotted running a test driver (9999) with 256 Compute Units and a clock speed ranging from 2400 to 2450 MHz.

This model has a configuration of 16 Xe-Cores unlike the A580 desktop card which is said to feature 24 Cores. It is unconfirmed whether this is an updated A580 model or a different variant.

The unnamed GPU is 42% slower than the A770 on CompuBench. The speed is almost halved since only 16 Xe-Cores were enabled.

Although the A580 desktop model was announced months ago, Intel hasn’t even set a launch date yet. There has been no mention of its release so no one really knows when the card will be finally available.

Intel Arc series

It is also possible that this card is one of the Mainstream/Performance GPUs that were leaked a while ago. These cards will be launching by the end of the quarter.

Intel is also developing the third Arc GPU called ACM-G12. This card also features 16 Xe-Cores. So this might be our mystery card after all.
