Intel is Planning to Change its Overlay for Arc Control in Next Update

Intel Arc Control offers the ultimate option for users to tune their graphical experience. This software allows users to play around with graphics performance, manage driver updates, and has several settings for effortless streaming.

Intel Arc Control which is currently embedded into all Arc Alchemist GPU graphics drivers and Iris Xe integrated graphics will be soon getting a major update.

The update will only affect how the software display will look like. It will be upgraded from an overlay to a modified single interface. Some reviewers have received a hint about the upcoming update.

According to Tom’s Hardware, the ‘overlay’ will not be completely dismissed, but rather worked on to better suit user’s needs who prefer the overlay display and those who don’t.

Intel refuses to provide an exact timeline or any other detail, but they heard you [Luke] and everyone. They know the overlay sucks, it’s going away. We are getting a non-overlay single app that will have everything consolidated into one pane.
