NVIDIA Preparing to Launch GeForce RTX 4070 non-Ti Model in April

Ahead of an upcoming launch, NVIDIA provides embargo information pretty regularly. However, these are often prone to changes. There have been instances where many embargoes were fully changed, postponed, or even canceled. So, any piece of information is sensitive.

NVIDIA has updated embargo information for the upcoming GeForce RTX 4070 non-Ti model.

All embargo information is tagged as TBD (to be determined), except the ‘on-shelf’ section which states ‘April,’ implying that the hard launch should happen in April.

NVIDIA has not provided any specific launch date yet, but board partners have been informed that the release is scheduled for April.

RTX 4070 has been doing the rounds of the internet for a while now. Hardware leaker @kopite7kimi mentioned the PG191 SKU 343 for RTX 4070. This SKU was listed along with sub-variants of the same card i.e., 344 and 345.

RTX 4070 will feature 5888 CUDA cores and 12GB of GDDR6X memory. This is a toned-down version of the RTX 4070 Ti with a lower TDP of 200W.

NVIDIA plans to start mass producing chips by this month. This suggests that the company will indeed be ready for launch in April. However, it is wise to wait for an official announcement by NVIDIA itself.
