Atomic Heart Seems to be Missing NVIDIA’s Ray-Tracing Support on PC

When Atomic Heart was first revealed in 2018, NVIDIA proudly advertised it to have RTX, the latest technology back then. Developer Mundfish never mentioned RTX missing from the game’s PC version, so players had the idea that it would be available at launch.

Mundfish has finally launched Atomic Hearts for all platforms. Interestingly, the PC version seems to be lacking the previously announced ray-tracing visual effects which players were excited for.

Atomic Heart

The review build of Atomic Heart does not allow access to any of the game’s prized ray-traced graphic options. After discovering this UK-based reviewer Rock Paper Shotgun reached out Mundfish who confirmed that raytracing will be added to the game post-launch.

Atomic Heart had earlier showcased its 4K RTX gameplay touting its graphics as one of its most exciting features. Players were reasonably disappointed with this news since they would have to wait a bit more for the implementation of ray-traced shadows, reflections, and more.

Atomic Heart does support DLSS at launch. However, basic options such as a Field of View slider are missing from the game. This contributes to the fact that Atomic Heart does not have entirely positive reviews.

Such a game is not meant for everyone so it is expected that some of its mindless elements will make a few players upset. Thankfully, even without raytracing, Atomic Heart has amazing graphics, so the action game sure looks great.

Atomic Heart was initially scheduled to launch back in 2019. Clearly, the action RPG has had its share of hiccups along the way. Hopefully, the developers will soon implement raytracing to the game.
