NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti GPU comes with a 2.5 GHz Boost Clock

NVIDIA is currently gearing up for the launch of its RTX 4070 non-Ti GPU, which is scheduled for April 13th. But one should note that the RTX 4060 GPUs are also slated for release, the earliest by May. Not much has been disclosed about the graphics card yet, but as we come closer to the launch date, more and more leaks are starting to surface.

The clock specs for the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti are as follows– 2310 MHz base clock and 2535 MHz boost clock. Custom models can boost up to 2685 MHz. The GPU will have the same base clock as the RTX 4070 Ti, but the difference in their boost is about 75 MHz.

Upon comparing the raw compute performance based on official and rumored boost clock, the RTX 4060 Ti delivers 22.1 TFLOPS while the non-Ti model can offer up to 15 TFLOPs, according to its rumored specs.

The RTX 4090 delivers 82.6 TFLOPs of single-precision raw compute performance, with 16384 CUDA cores and a 2520 MHz boost clock. So, the RTX 4060 Ti’s performance is 3.7x lower while the RTX 4060’s is 5.5x.

Board partners are almost ready with their custom PG190 boards, which will be used by all the RTX 4060 SKUs, including the Ti variants. While the final specs and BIOS are still a secret, we do have some idea about their memory specs, thanks to Gigabyte.

NVIDIA RTX Series

The RTX 4060 GPUs will have 8GB of GDDR6 memory, whereas the RTX 4070 will feature 12GB of GDDR6X. Compared to the last-gen RTX 3060, the memory specs for the upcoming RTX 4060 are disappointing. However, this seems like the only option since the GPUs use AD107/AD106 processors.

There’s no exact launch date available for the RTX 4060 Ti/RTX 4060 yet but the cards are expected to hit the markets in the month of May. Hopefully, we’ll get to know about some more specs by then.
