Datamine Reveals ‘Separate Ways’ is Returning to Resident Evil 4 Remake

The Resident Evil 4 remake is not exactly the same as the original title with better graphics. Fans have noticed that a few things such as the timed combat mode, The Mercenaries, Ada Wong’s side quests: Separate Ways and Assignment: Ada, are all missing from the new game. While The Mercenaries will be added later on, the same can’t be said for Ada’s story modes.

According to the latest Datamine, the fan-favorite story mode Ada Wong’s Separate Ways, is being developed for the Resident Evil 4 remake. This was revealed after a data miner located a series of files in the game’s PC version, titled “Chainsaw,” “Mercenaries,” and “Another Order.”

“Chainsaw” probably implies the demo of the same name which was released prior to the final launch. “Mercenaries” is pretty much self-explanatory.

“Another Order” is what intrigued fans the most. Veteran Resident Evil players would know that Separate Ways was initially titled “The Another Order.” So, there’s a high possibility that Capcom is working on the campaign given its fame in the community.

Resident Evil 4 Remake

Ada Wong is a significant character in the Resident Evil franchise, having appeared in multiple installments. However, the side stories in Resident Evil gave fans a chance to know a little bit about her backstory.

Resident Evil 4 VR did not include Mercenaries, and Capcom surely received some backlash over it. Whether the developers were aware of these modes or not, they sure are now. Mercenaries was later brought back as a DLC.

However, Ada’s campaigns were never introduced to the Meta Quest 2 version of Resident Evil 4. However, this might have been an executive decision by Meta and Armature Studio.

Hopefully, Capcom will announce the Ada Wong campaigns soon enough. Surely, every fan would be delighted at this news. It would be a nostalgic trip down the memory lane for Resident Evil 4 players.
