Blizzard Might Be Planning Another Diablo 4 Open Beta Launch Soon

The Diablo 4 open beta, which was held in March, was the largest in the franchise’s history. The beta accumulated almost 62 million hours of play time in just 6 days. Out of everyone who participated, 2.6 million managed to reach level 20, earning a baby wolf backpack.

When Twitter user @2littlelizzy86 claimed that they needed more Diablo 4, the official Diablo account replied, stating that it can be taken care of. This sent every Diablo fan into a frenzy, leading to the idea that another Diablo 4 open beta might be happening soon.

Before jumping to any conclusions, one should note that Blizzard clearly mentioned that there were only two Diablo 4 beta tests scheduled. With the beta, Blizzard received plenty of helpful player feedback that has since been used to make some fixes around the game.

Blizzard has readjusted the difficulty of some of the bosses so that even melee players will have a fair playing ground. Meanwhile, it will now be even harder to defeat The Butcher in World Tiers 3 and 4.

Diablo 4-character classes have also been changed in terms of cooldown, damage output, Mana cost adjustments, and brightness reduction for Necromancer’s summoned minions. These are just some of the modifications done in Diablo 4.

Dungeon layouts were also tweaked as per the feedback gathered from beta testing. Players felt that the dungeons required too much backtracking and the procedural generation caused excessive repetition.  Some of the dungeon gameplay has also been redesigned by the developers.

An open beta for Diablo 4 would be a great way to figure out which updates perform well. Moreover, players will have some additional content to play through before Diablo 4 officially launches. Those who missed out earlier will have another chance to partake in this massive open beta.
