Genshin Impact Player Shares Map of Updated Fontaine Model

Genshin Impact is set in the massive continent of Teyvat. It consists of seven nations, out of which only four are currently playable– Mondstadt, Liyue, Inazuma, and Sumeru. The next nation to be unlocked is the French-inspired Fontaine, which will be home to the Hydro Archon. 

The recent Genshin Impact update 3.6 has added a new placeholder model of the Fontaine region, preparing for the version 4.0. Reddit user @Substantial_Fan_9582 shared a satellite map featuring all of the four current regions, including the updated Fontaine placeholder model.

Judging by the image, Fontaine will be one of the largest regions in Genshin Impact. Its symbolic element is Hydro so it’s likely that there will be plenty of water bodies in and around Fontaine. 

Many were surprised to see these many hills and mountains in Fontaine. However, as per earlier rumors, the nation will have a number of beautiful waterfalls as well, especially in the nation’s capital city. An old leak claimed the city will be attached to a vertical platform, with bordering waterfalls.

Genshin Impact will likely introduce new characters to the playable roster during the Fontaine chapter. One of those characters is rumored to be the Hydro Archon Focalors. He has been briefly mentioned a few times in the main storyline. Other upcoming characters include Neuvillette, Lyney, and Lynette.

These leaks have not been confirmed so it would be wise to tread lightly. There are a lot of exciting plans for Genshin Impact in the near future. The upcoming version 3.7 is expected to be released on May 24th.
