NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Series Cards to be Released in Next 10 Weeks

NVIDIA has finally given in to the countless requests asking for another memory option after fans found out that the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti might only have 8GB VRAM. The GPU will now be offered with an increased memory capacity of 16GB, but this variant will be available later.

According to multiple sources, NVIDIA is all set to announce the upcoming RTX 4060 series this month. Three cards are scheduled for release– RTX 4060 (8GB), RTX 4060 (16GB) and RTX 4060 (8GB).

GeForce RTX 40 Series

It is confirmed that the three RTX 4060 cards will be released in the next 10 weeks or so. While the exact launch dates aren’t available, we do have a release window for the RTX 4060 series cards.

  • RTX 4060 Ti 8GB: May 24th
  • RTX 4060 Ti 16GB: 2nd Half July
  • RTX 4060 8GB: 1st Half July

As reported earlier, the RTX 4060 Ti is indeed launching in the last week of May. The RTX 4060 Ti 8GB will be launched a day before the AMD Radeon RX 7600 GPU and on the same day when the official embargo on the Navi 33-based GPU is lifted. It will be interesting to see how both the competitors fare since it will be a week busy with mid-range GPU releases.

The RTX 4060 with 8GB memory is scheduled for the first half of July whereas the RTX 4060 Ti 16GB is expected to arrive in the second half. Irrespective of dates, it looks like the RTX 4060 series launch in July is split between the two SKUs.

NVIDIA is prone to make changes to their product roadmaps, even recalling products before launch. So, it would be wise to wait for official confirmation from the company itself.
