Assassin’s Creed Mirage was definitely the center of attraction at the Ubisoft Forward event which took place on June 12th. Fans were beyond excited to get a peek of their anticipated title.
Ubisoft revealed an 8-minute long gameplay video of Assassin’s Creed Mirage at the Ubisoft Forward 2023 event. The clip began with Basim’s interaction with the Tenants, then explored what the feathers mean for the Hidden Ones.
The video also introduced some masks for the Order of the Ancient society, giving way to some questions of the Hidden Ones. There’s an underlying focus on “freedom”, hinting at its importance in the storyline. “What does it mean to be free,” “what must be sacrificed for that freedom,” and “how can you fulfill your destiny if you don’t know who you really are” are all themes for Assassin’s Creed Mirage.
Every viewer got a good glimpse of the gameplay in Assassin’s Creed Mirage. We see Basim sprint across the city, knocking over things, jumping with ease, and more. You can see a fleeting similarity to the master Assassin Ezio.
The gameplay video is a good display of stealth, weapons/tools, assassination mechanics, and more. Assassin’s Creed Mirage will take us through the world of Baghdad through Basim’s eyes, his understanding of the Creed, his relationships with those around him, and his solo pursuits.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage will be a nostalgic throwback to the first entry in the franchise. There are plenty of familiar elements such as the setting, the screen grain, the parkour and more. Assassin’s Creed Mirage is still a few months away. Hopefully, Ubisoft releases more such exclusive gameplay content to keep fans busy.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage is an upcoming game in development from Ubisoft. It is reported to feature Basim, previously seen in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, and the gameplay will focus more on stealth than open-world RPG elements. The game was released on October 5th, 2023.
