Judge Confirms Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Rumored Launch Date

The ongoing legal battle between FTC and Microsoft in the US federal court has revealed some surprising details about the latter’s upcoming plans regarding some important acquisitions. It was only a matter of time before the legendary Call of Duty franchise would be in the spotlight.

As part of the final discussions in court on June 29th, federal judge Jacqueline Scott Corley confirmed that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 would be launched in November. Although the exact date has not been revealed yet, this does line up with previous rumors.

Activision Blizzard has refrained from officially commenting on this leaked news. However, there was a subtle hint from the official Call of Duty handle on Twitter shortly after Judge Corley’s statement was reported.

This single tweet is in no way an official confirmation of the rumored launch date for Modern Warfare 3. Judging by the information available, the next installment of Modern Warfare can indeed be expected in November. This is great news for those who have been eagerly waiting for the next Call of Duty title.

Moving on to the FTC vs Microsoft battle, the court hearings are just another way to block Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard which is estimated to be about $69 billion in size. Several corporate secrets have been revealed to the public including the deal between Activision and Sony regarding the Call of Duty series.

While this certainly is not how anyone expected to find out about the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, it surely is exciting to know that the much-anticipated title is just a few months away. We can expect Activision Blizzard to officially announce the action title soon.
