Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Trailer Features Beloved Verdansk Map

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 was recently announced earlier this week. To say that this reveal sent fans into a frenzy would be an understatement. As expected, the Call of Duty community is beyond excited to see what is in store for them.

Call of Duty has released the official trailer for Modern Warfare 3, which will take players back to the beloved Warzone map, Verdansk. Fans are also eyeing the return of the Call of Duty villain, Makarov, who was also featured towards the end of Modern Warfare II’s campaign.

Modern Warfare III - Makarov Reveal Trailer

How will Makarov make a comeback? What crazy tactics and strategies does he have up his sleeve now? Will the Verdansk map feature something new? Clearly, it is a lot of information to process at once, giving way to a million questions.

For those who might be unfamiliar, Verdansk was featured in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Unfortunately, it was swapped with Caldera in 2021. Ever since the disappointing update, fans have been asking for its return.

One can also spot a few scenes set in the prison and stadium area; this implies that these areas could also make a comeback in Modern Warfare 3. As revealed by Call of Duty developers, a significant number of items will be carried forward to MW3 from the previous installments in the series.

All unlocked Operators and Operator Skins from Modern Warfare 2 (unlocked, purchased, or obtained via challenge) will carry forward into Modern Warfare III. However, Base Operators from MW2 will not be accessible in MW3 if you do not already own the former game.

Now that we have had a good look at what the next Modern Warfare title is going to look like, it will only be a matter of time before we get to see some action or gameplay. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 launches on November 10th for Xbox, PlayStation, and PC.
